Shivangi Gaur was the Head of Events last year and is now the President, she is dedicated to the cause of making the Durham student and local community cognisant of such crimes affecting women.

Léa is the Vice-President and also worked on the project last year, she is committed to helping Shivangi lead the 2019/2020 team.

Katie Morris is the Head of Social Media she is new to HALO this year and is excited to start raising awareness of such important issues affecting women through our Instagram and Facebook.

Crystal is new to the team this year and is super excited to get involved with a range of events to raise awareness and educate others about the truth about FGM, forced marriages and honour based violence. Crystal is the Head of Events.

Sanya is the Treasurer, she is new to the project this year and is extremely excited to raise awareness about forced marriages, honour based violence and female genital mutilation. Sanya hopes to educate as many people as she can on these issues faced by women.

Anne worked on the project last year and is back this year to help with the campaigns, events and raising awareness of the serious issues women face worldwide.

Elia worked on the project last year and is back again this year to help raise awareness among students and the wider public regarding human rights violations women face, and that are often neglected by the media due to their taboo nature.

Grace is new to the team this year and is passionate about helping to raise awareness and educate others about the gravity of honour-based crimes, forced marriages and FGM.

Kaylin worked on the project last year and is back this year with more exciting ideas to raise awareness about the human rights violations women face.

Saffy is new to the project this year and is looking forward to raising awareness and educating students on the serious issues faced by many women.

Vanessa is new to the team this year and is dedicated to raise awareness and educate students about FGM, Honour based crimes and forced marriages.

Wai Ling is new to the team this year and is very excited to take part in our events and campaigns to raise awareness for the serious issues that women face including honour-based violence, forced marriages and FGM.
